HISTORY OF THE BAND

The band „New Village Gang” was formed in January 2009. 
Laco- Lucky (vocal and guitar) and Andy (double bass) played in a young punk band. Just covers were played.
In January 2009 Lucky met a starting drummer Dani and they agreed to start something new together. The decision was made to play rockabilly.
Lucky and Andy left the punk band and together with Dani started fully devote to the new music style. As all the beginnings also this one was not easy. Then we needed a name for our band and as we are from the village Nová Dedinka (New Village) we chose the name New Village Gang. 
The band gave its first concert in the home village. Later we played at several celebrations.
We are grateful to the Band Devil Street 13 who helped us a lot at the beginnings. Following concerts were performed just with them. 
A big thanks go also to our fans who inspire us and thanks to whom this band goes on.
Dani left the band in March 2010. Lubo occupied the post of drummer sometime in April or May. The band played first concert after Dani´s departure ( yet without a drummer ) with Rockin RockCats in Amigo Bar in Budapest. NVG presented themselves in a new line-up with Lubo in Soul Hunter Music Club in Dunajská Streda . 
Lubo left the band in august 2011.
Marek occupied the post of drummer in November 2011

The history of this band is not long but we hope that also thanks to you we will be continuing in writing it.
